Steve Newman, our Modernization Supervisor, is celebrating 35 years with our company! We sat down with Steve to learn more about his journey with Elevated.
What has been your favorite memory with Elevated in the 35 years that you have been here? Working alongside with my sons, who are also field leaders with Elevated (pictured above), and teaching them the trade.
What are you most proud of in your career at Elevated so far? Starting from the bottom and working my way through many positions as a field leader. I also really appreciate my relationship with our customers that depend on me to keep their elevators up and running.
What are the most impactful development experiences you’ve had with Elevated? Through my 35 years with this company I’ve had many managers and each of them took their time to teach me the ways of the elevator industry and allow me to grow. The leadership team here cares about my development and watching me grow as a field leader.
What is your best advice to someone looking to grow their career at Elevated? Learn all that you can, ask questions even if you think they sound silly. Be the first to arrive and the last to leave. And always remember, no one at work is above or below you.
